A First Time Visitors Guide To Bainbridge Island-Washington
Back in 2005, CNN named Bainbridge Island in Washington State the second best place to live in the United States.
With a community that ticks off all the right boxes ( good schools, nice views, easy access to the big city ), Bainbridge is an ideal community to live in.
One Of The Best Places To Live In The United States
As one of the most notable commuter towns in the State, Bainbridge has always functioned as a transport hub of sorts. But Bainbridge is also that picture perfect destination for a fun day outing or a mini get a way vacation.
It has all the travel and lodging requirements for both the local population and visitors alike.
Bainbridge has evolved to make room for the thousands of 📸 tourists that come to visit the Island each year, to experience what this community has to offer!
Getting To Bainbridge Island
Getting to Bainbridge is easy!
You can choose to walk, bike or take your car onto the 🛳 Ferry from Seattle harbor. It’s only about a 35 minute crossing. The service is operated by the Washington State Ferry Service.
Their is a ⛓ link on the Official Bainbridge Island website, directing you to the ferries page. You can access their ferry schedule, pricing and more.
I have listed the link at the bottom of this post for easy access.
Parking And Accommodations At Bainbridge Island
🏡 Lodging facilities and services abound in the area, and theres no shortage of accommodation for either day visitors or those on an extended trip.
If you plan on driving your 🚗 car, space is limited in town for parking. This, especially so during the peak season months of June, July and August.
With the influx of visitors in recent years, Bainbridge is working on improving the parking situation in the area.
Bainbridge Island Has Something For Everyone
Tourists traveling to Bainbridge should definitely take time to visit some of their beautiful 🏞 Parks and Reserves.
Guided tours are always available for those who might want to visit some of the more popular points of interest including; Fay Bainbridge Park, Bloedel Reserve, Fort Ward, and Battle Point Park.
The more adventurous can always opt for 🚶 self-guided longer discovery treks that do take a bit more time, but often can be much more rewarding.
Theres also a wealth of options available for those who might want to enjoy the more modern conveniences provided by social and community hubs within the city.
These are just a few of the wonderful businesses in and around Waterfront Park & City Dock one can visit to experience some of the islands unique offerings.
With beautiful vistas, great architecture and excellent restaurants, its definitely the place to be when youre looking for a nice, relaxing picturesque destination.
I am happy to present this collaborative guest post on this beautiful community in Washington State, in the hopes of offering travel inspiration and helpful information to you at the same time.
Below, I have added a link to the Official Bainbridge Island Visitors Guide for your convenience, where you can access much more detailed information.
