What makes China the most recognizable is of course, the Great Wall. But it also is one of the most magnificent sights in the world too. Everyone that will travel to China must visit the Great Wall, even only one section of it.

The Great Wall of China is also known as the “Long Wall” with a length of 21.196 km, and it is the longest wall ever built by man. There are several sections along the entire length of the Great Wall. Some of them are in ruins, and some of them are entirely restored.

If you want to visit the most popular sections, then you should consider visiting Mutianyu, Jinshanling, Jiankou, and Badaling.

The Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is also known as the Palace Museum. In the past, the Forbidden City served as the Imperial Palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today, this historic site is a major attraction in the heart of Beijing.

Visitors can enter through the Meridian Gate (Wumen) and leave from the Gate of Divine Prowess (Shenwumen) or East Prosperity Gate (Donghuamen).
