Choose Mexidivers For Professional Scuba Diving In Tulum Mexico
On our recent visit to the Riviera Maya in Mexico, a big part of our holiday included a great deal of snorkeling and scuba diving in the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Prior to leaving home and after reading many positive reviews about Mexidivers in Tulum, it was an easy choice for me to select this business to take me out Reef Diving.
As it turned out, choosing Mexidivers was a great choice!

After arriving to the dive shop and greeted by the owner and staff, I was then briefed and equipped with all the necessary gear needed for the dive.
All the scuba gear and wet suits were well maintained, up to date and the staff ensured the equipment fitted properly for size and comfort for each and every diver.
The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System
Tulum Reef Diving Locations
I chose a two tank easy reef dive on this beautiful sunny day accompanied by just 3 other divers and our instructor. This day was a perfect morning for scuba diving with sunny skies and calm seas with the added bonus of our boat passing by the Tulum National Park Ruins both to and from our dive sites.
A beautiful view from offshore!
The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (MBRS), also known as the Great Mayan Reef or Great Maya Reef, stretches over 1000 km from Isla Contoy at the tip of the Yucatn Peninsula down to Belize, Guatemala and the Bay Islands of Honduras.
The reef system includes various protected areas and parks, making it the second largest reef system in the world.
Tulum Ruins
Both our dive locations were located within 30 minutes offshore making the boat ride quick, comfortable and as mentioned, very scenic!
Reef Diving For All Experience Levels Of Scuba Diver
These days, most of my scuba diving takes places only while traveling, unlike years before while living in Victoria, British Columbia Canada where cold water diving was my passion. So, as I get older I want to enjoy my dives making them as simple and easy as possible.
Reef diving in Mexico is perfect for this!
For experienced and less experienced divers, choosing a reef dive where your average depth is 35 to 50 feet is a perfect choice. Accompanied by a professional instructor along the way, you are sure to have an enjoyable time beneath the sea on your holiday, as I did on this day.
