Premier NASCAR Racing Events And More At Phoenix Raceway
We’ve attended the fall race events for many years, and always enjoy this part of 🌵 Arizona. The race track is just outside the City of Phoenix, about a 30 minute drive from the city limits.
It’s located in a beautiful country setting, next to rolling hills and 🏜 huge cactus.
There’s a number of races to see during the weekend, along with excellent track side displays. As well, pre and post race entertainment at the track for you to enjoy into the late evening.

Meet Your Favorite Driver At The Races In Phoenix
Along with the many planned activities in and around the track, drivers always make themselves available for meet and greet sessions.
I managed to get a quick shot of former NASCAR Driver Casey Khane during an autograph session a few years back.:)
Camping Right At The Track At Phoenix Raceway
One of the many things that make Phoenix Raceway so special is 🏕 camping out right at the racetrack. Surrounded by beautiful cactus set along the hillside in a country setting, camping just adds to the race weekend excitement.
We have always enjoyed camping out for a number of seasons at the races in our RV. You’re just outside the city limits, yet far enough to feel like you have escaped into the country!
A perfect setting for spending quality time with family and friends. It doesn’t get any better than camping out and enjoying the spectacular race events Phoenix Raceway is known to host year after year!
You have your choice of Reserved and Unreserved Recreational Vehicle camping sites. Choose from a number of reserved sites located right inside the track property, to more rustic camping on federal grounds just on the outside.
A great option that is sure to suit most anyone’s desires and budget!
Be sure to check out my more detailed post and photos on 🏜 Phoenix Raceway Camping for more information.

Race Day Festivities At Phoenix International Raceway
The🍺 Budweiser Clydesdales 🐎 were on hand at this event, taking part in the pre-race ceremonies.
There’s always something new and exciting at the races each and every year!
Green Flag as 43 cars are set to face off against each other for another round of race action!
As you saw in my short video clip, watching these cars roar past live and not on 📺 television is incredible!
A part of racing excitement is the crashes. They’re great to watch as long as no one gets hurt!
Racing Under the Lights At Phoenix Raceway
The other thing I enjoy so much about this racetrack is the night racing. The entire track is lit up at night making for some spectacular racing.

Update November 2019
My brother and I finally made it back to enjoy another race weekend in Phoenix. The new race track and stands are amazing!
What a wonderful job they have done with this facility. The new grandstands are excellent, along with completely re-configuring the track itself.
All 4 races held during this weekend event were excellent as well. It was great to see driver Denny Hamlin win Sunday’s event – The Bluegreen Vacations 500.
We’re all set to return next year, especially hearing the news ISM will be hosting the championship weekend for 2021!
Below, I have included the link to Phoenix Raceway’s New Official Website, the track is back to their old familiar name – Phoenix Raceway! Much to the delight I’m sure, with us seasoned Phoenix race fans.
Here, you can access much more detailed information on all the races held throughout the year at this amazing facility!
See You at the Track!
Update April 2020
In 2020, Phoenix Raceway hosted their first ever Championship Race Weekend. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic crisis, we were unable to attend this event. Phoenix Raceway did give us the option to hold our tickets for the 2021 weekend races.
Update 2021
As 🍁 Canadians, we were so disappointed to not be able to attend the races last season. It is a special weekend event we look forward to traveling to every season.
We are booked to attend in November 2021, and keeping our fingers crossed it will be safe to travel at that time.
Let’s hope 2022 will be a much better year for all of us!
Safe and Healthy Travels!
