As a Baby Boomer Travel, Health & Fitness Blogger and avid reader, I recently added a new book reviews segment to my blog. My most recent read is the featured author’s latest publication called; She Seduced Me A Love Affair with Rome.

My family & I were able to visit Rome a few seasons ago, while on our Western Mediterranean Cruise. Unfortunately it was just a short day visit, but what we saw looked fabulous. The City is just filled with history!
Upon hearing of Marks latest release on Rome, I was delighted to have the opportunity to read and to offer a personal review of this publication.
About The Author Of She Seduced Me A Love Affair with Rome
Mark Tedesco resides in the State of California, but lived in Italy for 8 years. He is an educator and respected author of various publications. As an educator, he enjoys teaching history, literature and getting his students to reveal their own unique stories.
His vast experience living in Rome and traveling globally over the years, has greatly influenced his writing career, sharing his personal experiences in his work.
She Seduced Me A Love Affair with Rome is his latest release in November of 2020.
How Rome Seduced Mark & His Love Affair With The City
In recent years during our International Travels, my wife and I have become more and more aware of overcrowding at most popular tourist destinations around the globe. We experienced this once again, on our most recent travels to Thailand and the Philippines.
We are now concentrating and looking more at Stepping Out Of The Box and looking to visit less popular, yet still quite desirable destinations to travel to.
Marks book takes you on a personal journey to many hidden gems located in and around Rome, that certainly fit this criteria we are now looking for.
The City Of Rome – Italy
Ancient Rome is known to be founded as early as 753 BC. The first King of Rome and its city’s founder was Romulus. Hence the city was named after him.
For most of us, when we hear of Rome, we automatically think of what we are most used to hearing about; The Vatican, The Pope, The Colosseum, St. Peters Square, Sistine Chapel and of course, the Roman Empire. Augustus (Julius) Caesar who we are all familiar with, proclaimed himself the first emperor of Rome in 31BC, and the rest is history!
Rome is the Capital City of Italy and the most populous city in the Country, with a population of approximately 4 1/2 million people. Vatican City is a completely independent country, which is located inside the city boundaries of Rome.
In 2019, Rome was listed as the 11th most visited city in the world, with over ten million visitors from all over the world. The majority of tourists, only experiencing what I have mentioned above in the city, like ourselves on our visit.

After reading the book, it had me yearning to return to the city to see the True Rome and all the hidden gems that most tourists never see or hear about.
Mark will take you on an historical journey throughout the city, exploring historical sites and structures located off the beaten path. He will take you back in time, reliving what life must have been like back then as you view beautiful historic statues, churches, piazzas and so much more.
He even divulges local hidden eateries located off the tourist path, that will have you wishing you were there with him.

For those of you like us, who prefer less touristy and out of the ordinary places, enjoy unique travel adventures, sampling the local cuisine, then this book is a must read and a great inspiration for travel to Rome & Italy.
