The Watershed Bar & Grill in Brackendale British Columbia
If your travels happen to take you along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway on Canadas west coast, then you must make at stop at the Watershed Bar & Grill. Ideally located on the banks of the Squamish River, this is truly a hidden gem just minutes from the City of Squamish.
Combine delicious freshly prepared food with your favorite beverage while gazing at stunning scenery, will certainly convince you that you have come to the right place!
Enjoy Open Air Dining At The Watershed Bar & Grill
Squamish is 🍁 British Columbias Adventure Playground, filled with attractions and outdoor activities and combined with some of the most spectacular scenery on the west coast of Canada making it a perfect location to spend some time.
Dining is no exception in this city, offering some amazing choices and the Watershed Bar & Grill offer some of the finest freshly prepared food in the city. No wonder this restaurant is among the favorite for locals and visitors alike.
Located just a few minutes off the main highway, this casual open air bar and grill is the perfect choice for lunch or dinner year round.
Not Your Typical Bar & Grill Dining Experience
This is definitely not your typical casual bar & grill establishment as you are about to see below. Theres no greasy deep fried fatty food here! Everything on the menu is freshly prepared with attention to detail.
Im glad we arrived early on our visit on a weekday, because shortly after arriving, the place was packed!
Below is just a sample of what to expect when dining at the Watershed. Im sure this will surprise you as it did us.
Appetizers
Select from a dozen delicious appetizers from the menu to enjoy with your beverage or as a starter for your lunch or dinner. From a fresh Prawn Cocktail, Seared Albacore Tuna, Local BC Chicken Wings to Veggie Spring Rolls just to get you started.
Prawn Cocktail
The three of us chose the fresh prawn cocktail as a starter to share. Eight prawns served with in-house made cocktail sauce and lemon wedges.
A great starter to enjoy with our locally brewed craft beer!
An Extensive Menu At The Watershed
The menu variety is simply too large to list here, the choices are incredible! Choose from freshly prepared salads, superb sandwiches, organic beef specialty burgers, wild salmon, pasta to mouth- watering ribs and steak.
As I said, this is not your ordinary bar & grill!
Salmon & Prawn Pasta
My wife selected the fresh salmon and prawn pasta dish. Mixed with tomato sauce, cream, garlic, parmesan, smoked paprika with toasted garlic bread on the side.
It was an excellent choice, a healthy and tasty dish prepared with care.
River Burger
I selected the award winning Watershed specialty, the River Burger. This burger was previously voted as the Best Burger in BC, and it was certainly voted for very good reason. It was one of the best prepared burgers I have eaten while dining out anywhere!
Prepared with local organic beef with bacon, cheddar cheese, peppercorn sauce and in-house mayonnaise, it was outstanding!
Wild Sockeye Salmon Burger
Our son who joined us for dinner chose the wild salmon burger. This is another great healthy menu choice to select from. A fresh wild salmon filet served with wasabi mayonnaise with fresh tomato, lettuce, dill served with a choice of side including sweet potato fries.
Another excellent choice!
Dessert
You better save room for dessert because the freshly made large portions of pie and cheesecake are fabulous! As a matter of fact, my piece of apple pie was so big, I needed a doggy bag for at least half of the order.
As you can see, the food and choices are absolutely first rate, with care taken in preparing each and every dish. Staff are friendly and courteous, making this a very special place to enjoy your favorite beverage at the bar and /or lunch and dinner any time.
For those passing through on weekends, the grill is open for breakfast serving farm fresh eggs, bacon and multi-grain French toast!
