Scenic RV Camping At Wild Pacific Camp
If your Recreational Vehicle travels have you visiting world renowned Tofino and Ucluelet on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, then make a point of staying at Wild Pacific Camp. This very small, very scenic hidden gem of a campground, is located in the most favorable and picturesque location in the seaside town of Ucluelet.
Wild Pacific Camp Hosts
This unique piece of property is owned by and developed by a very hospitable young family living on Vancouver Island. They love and take part in numerous outdoor activities including surfing, for which this part of the Vancouver Island is known for around the world. Wild Pacific Camp has become their home away from home, and their plans do include future development of the property as they go along.
Guests of Wild Pacific Camp are a blend of international tourists, short term residents and/or seasonal recreation enthusiasts, whove come to set up a base to take in all that the area has to offer. Its a temperate climate, so we are open all year round for RV camping.
They are happy to assist in any way they can to make your stay and time in Ucluelet as enjoyable as possible. There is also a full time park manager on site that is happy to help out in any when he can during your stay.
Wild Pacific Camp Open All Year
Many of the campgrounds in this region including the National Park Campground, close for the winter season. For those of you who like to camp throughout the winter, especially those who would like to travel to the rugged West Coast of Vancouver Island to storm watch, then youre in luck!
Wild Pacific Camp will have their recreational vehicle campsites open throughout the year. Believe me, our family have traveled to this part of the Island to storm watch, and it is spectacular!
Wild Pacific Camp Amenities
Presently, the park is very small with limited sites. They do have plans to expand in the future, but are taking things one step at a time with their business. Existing amenities include;
At this time, the park has no washroom facilities on site. All rigs must be self contained. Please check with the park for further updates.
Terrace Beach
Wild Pacific Camp is ideally located right in the town of Ucluelet. The park faces picturesque Spring Cove, with Terrace Beach within a few steps across the street.
Terrace Beach is a beautiful beach located within a small bay, offering stunning ocean views out to sea. Perfect for strolling or just spending time on the beach any time of year.
Wild Pacific Trail
Another bonus the park enjoys is easy access to the very well known Wild Pacific Trail. This is an outstanding 8 kilometer trail that follows along the coastline and passes by the active Amphitrite Lighthouse.
This is a nature trail like no other, where your hike takes you alongside the rugged coastline and throughout the dense coastal old growth forest.
There are numerous scenic lookouts and stops along the way with park benches to sit and enjoy the spectacular views. There are colorful information boards describing some of the history of the area and the natural growth and vegetation as you make your way along the trail.
The Wild Pacific Trail and the Lighthouse Loop is definitely not to be missed when visiting this region. The trail is ideal for hikers of all abilities. Walk as little or as much as you like!
Access to part of the trail can also be made across the street from Wild Pacific Camp.
My wife and I loved our stay at this campground on our recent travels to Tofino and Ucluelet. The location is perfect, the brand new full hookup sites were ideal and our hosts were absolutely wonderful.
I highly recommend a stay at Wild Pacific Camp when your Recreational Vehicle travels have you visiting and exploring this beautiful part of British Columbia.
Be sure to check out their Official Website for more detailed information and booking details. As space is limited at this time, make sure you reserve well in advance, especially during the high season, which normally runs from June thru September.
As well, dont miss their West Coast Life tab located on their website, where you will find some absolutely stunning photographs!
I’ve included a link to the Official Tourism Website for Ucluelet, BC for your convenience.
Although our stay was in collaboration with Wild Pacific Camp, rest assured all content and opinions are that of the author and reflect my personal experience only.
